Description
These felted Messenger Bags and Passport pockets are based on the idea of hidden color.  each bag has a plain flap that hides a brightly colored design or stripe.  And inside each bag is a vibrant passport pocket that can serve as a pocket for the larger bag or may be worn on its own.  Both the Messenger Bags and the small Passport Pockets are knit in one piece.  Straps are knitted separately then attached.  Two colorways are shown:  Hidden Orange and Hidden Yellow.

Materials Needed
  • Tapestry needle
  • Sewing needle
  • Heavy weight thread
  • 1 6" / 15 cm large-toothed, custom zipper in custom color
  • 2 2" / 5 cm slide buckles
  • 2 1/2" / 1.25 cm round-eye bolt snaps
  • 2 5/8" / 1.5 cm d-rings
  • Light worsted weight yarn suitable for felting, approx. 200 yards per skein, in the amounts for each colorway listed below.  We recommend Cascade 220:

    Hidden Orange
    2 skeins black
    2 skeins Clementine orange
    6 skeins darkest grey
    1 skein yellow-orange    		Hidden Yellow
    2 skeins darkest grey
    1 skein golden yellow
    6 skeins charcoal
    1 skein black
